Clinical Observation on Heating of Bone Fractures in Two Diabetic Cases

Abstract

|
Two cases of bone fracture in connection with diabetes were observed in the ;department of orthopedics, Ewha Woman´s University Hospital, Seoul Korea.
One case with uncontrolled diabetes having fracture in left medial malleolar region was treated with cast immobilization for 3 months, nevertheless remained un united condition. The other case, adequately controlled her diabetes normally, was showed a complete healing of the fracture in left metacarpal bone of thumb. The discrepancy of fracture healing in both uncontrolled and controlled diabetes was briefly discussed.
